Our practice nurses specialise in a wide range of skills including immunisations and vaccinations as well as management of long term conditions such as Asthma, Diabetes and promotion of healthy living. They are also trained in female personal health area's such as smears and pessary’s.

Our Healthcare Assistants can also provide appointments for injections/vaccinations as well as phlebotomy. Our HCA's are also trained in INR (Warfarin) and NHS Health Checks. They can run late evening clinics with things such as ear syringing, Cryotherapy and memory tests. 

The Practice Management Team is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the Practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, patient safety, finance, premises, equipment and information technology.  The Practice Management Team supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps extended services to enhance patient care.

Patient Services Advisors provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. They make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries and dealing with patient records. 

Our team will ask you for a small amount of information to inform the medical staff of what the appointment is in relation too and we ask you to be patient with our Patient Service Advisors during peak times as staff have to deal with an excessive amount of calls and enquiries.

Our Patient Services Advisors are:

Physician Associates (PAs) are medically trained healthcare professionals who work alongside doctors and other members of the practice team to provide a range of patient care.

They mainly deal with on the day urgent matters so pre-bookable appointments are not always available.

They are trained to diagnose and perform examinations.

Social Prescriber

A social prescriber plays a key role in helping patients connect with non-medical sources of support within their community. These sources may include local groups, charities and other services that can provide practical assistance, emotional support or advice on issues such as finance, housing and employment. A social prescriber works closely with GP's, nurses and other healthcare proffessional's to identify patients who may benefit from social prescribing and to provide them with tailored support.
